Busy Saturday

We had a busy, yet very fun Saturday! It all started, bright and early...around 5:30 a.m. I got up and got ready, before the kids got up, to leave and head out to the Ensign Ranch. For those of you who are not from around here, the Ensign Ranch is a church owned recreational facility. You can camp, horse back ride, swim, canoe, ect...Well, our ward had our annual campout, but instead of camping overnight, we decided to just head on out for the FOOD! They had a big breakefast planned out to start at 8:00 a.m. and we thought we'd just go for that. Really, I wasn't too keen on the idea of loading up, with 3 kids, to camp for less than 24 hours. Not my idea of fun. But, food is always good and we've been wanting to go there anyways. So, we did. We ended up staying until noon hanging out with our friends and enjoying some of the activities they have at the ranch. The main attraction was the "slip 'n slide". The ranch has this HUGE one that they made on a hill that you go tubing down. It looks so fun! I say "looks" because I haven't done it yet, but Sam did and she loved it! We also did some canoeing. It was a great morning. Of course, I forgot my camera... We then headed home and cleaned up and I got ready for my 10 yr. high school reunion. I really can't believe it's been 10 years! It sure doesn't feel like it. Except for the fact that I'm married, with 3 kids and a house. Crazy! Anyways, I met up with 3 of my really good friends and we drove out to Seattle for some akward fun. Yes, it was kind of akward. Especially at first. Luckily, I had girlfriends that I went with. I would not have gone alone! NO WAY! After the first little while I felt a little less weird and we ended up having a good time. We left a little early to enjoy some Red Robin. Most of all, it was just a really great girls' night out. It was a blast! We laughed and joked around like we've been hanging out every day for the last 10 years! I sure do miss all my high school girlfriends. Those were the days...

Bekah, Julia, Kristin, and Me... Oh, I miss Bekah! She was one of my BFF's in high school and we had so much fun together! Please come home to WA! And, I get the privilage of seeing Kristin often. We're lucky to be in the same ward now. We have some great memories of middle school, high school, and girls' camp together! Our girls are really good friends now. They love eachother!

Me and Julia. We've been friends since I can remember...just babies! We were also in the same ward growing up, so we have a ton of memories. Good times!

Katie and Me. I've known Katie since 7th grade. She was one of by best friends in highschool. We did pretty much everything together. Love her!!!

4 months old!

Collin turned 4 months on August 10th! He's growing up way too fast! Here's his latest stats- Weight: 19lbs. 12 oz. (above 97%- I guess this means "off the charts"?!) Height: 29 in. (75%)

Clothing: Anywhere from a 6-12 month size Diapers: size 4 (my 2 yr. old is in a size 5!)

He's doing great though! He's very talkative and loves to smile. He's not rolling over yet, but the doc is not concerned. He's got a lot of weight to throw over! He's such a good baby and hardly ever cries. He's sleeping through most nights. Usually anywhere from 10-12 hours. I'm loving it! He's been a joy and we're so happy with him :)

What We've Been Up To...

We've been having some good family fun lately! Here's some pictures of our latest adventures. (Just in case you're wondering why there's SOOO many pictures...Well, now that my mom is in Idaho, I want her to see ALL that she can of my kiddos.)
Park Day at Kelsey Creek

What a cute little guy!

OH! That's a huge pig!

Parker and his buddy, Chaz.

Just the Girls!

Her new famous pose.

Lunch! Swimming at the Beach

Attempting to go under.

Collin and I relaxed on the beach. Check out those keys!

Swimmin' away...

The tummy swim is what Parker does best!

They had to bring their buckets and shovels, of course.
We had a blast at the Beach! The kids fed the ducks (even though you aren't supposed to! OOPS!) We had lunch and looked at the boats too. My kids have an obsession with boats lately, especially Parker. This was the main reason for our visit to the water.
Family Movie Night

We watched the new movie, Coraline. You can watch in 2-D or 3-D. We thought we'd try it in 3-D and see how it was. It was fun for while, but everyone except Jer got tired of wearing the glasses. It was a fun night of popcorn, candy, pizza and pop!
Company Picnic at The Farm

Mmmm, potluck lunch!

You gotta have a tractor on a farm, right?!

Swinging on the "tire horse".

We ventured through the cornmaze.
Farm animals were a hit.
Checking out the baby bunnies, only a week or so old. SOOO cute!

A close-up of the baby bunnies. They were so small!

A big barn of hay to play in!

Parker climbing around the hay.
The kids had a blast on this slide that was in the middle of a hay maze, in a different barn.

Watching the kids slide.

After conquering that hay maze!
This may be the longest blog post, ever!

Last Week's Fun

We had a fun and fairly eventful last week...It started off with us going to the Renton River Days Parade. This is an annual parade downtown that is followed by tons of vendors and FOOD and a petting zoo and lots of other fun activities at the park close by. We (the kids, mainly) love to go and we've been doing this for a few years now. I've actually been going since I was a child, growing up here in good old Renton. It brings back lots of memories. The kids' favorite part, yet most terrifying part, is the Seafair Pirates!!! The Pirates are fun and very "Piratey" (if that 's even a word!). BUT, they are SOOOOO loud! They come down the street in their pirate ship and, of course, have to set off their cannons. The very loud cannons! It's so loud. Poor kids.
Anyway, Monday we got to go visit our new nephew, Tristan. He's adorable. My poor sis-in-law wanted this baby out sooo bad! She's relieved to have him out, but has had some problems with infections and stuff. Not fun. It was nice to see them all and spend some time with their family. I can't wait to get to know Baby Tristan!
Tuesday was great too! Jeremy and I got to go out on the town, alone, and catch an M's game. It was so nice. We had a really good time spending the evening together. The game wasn't packed, so we got to spread out a bit and actually got to eat dinner at a table overlooking the Puget Sound. It was great weather, great company, and yummy food. The best! The Mariners even won! Thanks Sharon for watching the kids:)
Wednesday and Thursday weren't as fun...Those were our 105 degree weather days, but Friday we got to go see another new baby! Our friends, Jason and Wendy just had their second child. He was born 3 weeks early, after Wendy was on bedrest for 9 weeks. He's an adorable litte 5 lb. baby boy named Owen. He's just precious. It was fun having pizza with them and enjoying eachother's company.
So, there you have it. I found it to be a quite enjoyable week. On my down days I got lots done around the house and ran lots of errands. Very productive, actually. Here's some pics from the Parade and Game. Enjoy!
